lf you’re anything like me, you probably never really catch up on all those quilting projects hiding in the closet or stashed in a box, even the ones that are right on your ironing board waiting for you! I can give you a solution to the problem, or maybe a way to get motivated to finish some of those quilts. Plus, we can’t forget those holiday projects?
My two quilting retreats are coming up soon!
There are just a few spots open for November, the No Frills Quilt Retreat held the first weekend of November at The Abbey in Lake Geneva. Go to this link for all the registration information and hotel accommodations.
We always see lots of finished holiday quilts and gifts by the end of the retreat on Sunday morning! We also do a little shopping for ourselves. Every year we take a little break and head off to The Stitchery in Delavan. We enjoy the convenience of shopping from our own sewing room with That Quilt Shop in Woodstock. Therese from That Quilt Shop always brings something new and fun!
After the holidays, it’s time to work on our own projects. The Patches & Prints Winter Quilt Retreat will celebrate 14 years this January at The Westin Chicago Northwest in Itasca, January 31-February 2, 2014. Once again, an entire weekend away, starting on Friday morning with non-stop sewing through Sunday. The Westin provides us with a very spacious and well-lit sewing room. The sleeping accommodations are wonderful and a buffet breakfast is included as well. All information can be found here .
